Scourwind Bank

The desolation of the Scourwind Peninsular
The Scourwind Bank extends for two miles south of the town of Lowmouth, consisting of a gravel spit, and ending in a broad area of gravel mounds and dunes known locally as 'Old Nick's Foot' is the home of Scourwind Nuclear Power Station (SNPS), and Installation no. 4.

The gravel spit itself is roughly a mile and a half long, but is rarely more than 100 feet wide, most much narrower. The spit slopes sharply up from the sea, then sloping more gently towards a range of shallow saltwater lagoons trapped behind. The Spit's crest carries a service road leading to the SNPS. Old Nick's Foot is about half a mile square, the power station sitting on the highest point to the south end of the foot. the remains of Installation no. 4 is built on the lagoon side of the Foot, a little to the north of the SNPS.
